The Mississippi River’s nutrient -rich brackish water in the delta allows many different types of vegetation to grow and feed the large numbers of waterfowl we have in our estuary. All of our duck and goose hunts are professionally guided and use trained, expert dogs that retrieve the birds. We hunt exclusively out of mud boats, allowing hunters of any age and experience level to feel the true, full waterfowl experience. Our duck leases are private and are only hunted by clients of DRC. Pintail, Blue- Winged Teal, Green-Winged Teal, Gadwall (aka Gray Ducks), Redheads, Summer Mallards, Canvasbacks, Widgeon, Greater and Lesser Scaup (Bluebills), Buffleheads, Mergansers, Coot, Gallinule, Snipe, Rails, and Snow and Blue Geese are many of the species harvested by our elite duck hunting guides.
